Most Farm Boy Energy employees have grown up with a rural agricultural background.  We share the innate desire to be self-sufficient.  There are many different schools of thought on global warming, and every one of them is represented in our office.  But the one thing we all agree on: it's not good to be dependent upon beauracratic monopolistic utility companies, held hostage by foreign oil dictators, pay ridiculous rates for the power we all need to live or, most importantly, emit pollution in the air. And now, with today's technology and a strong Midwestern work ethic, we're each working hard to give a little bit back. 

Headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa -- the heart of middle America -- Farm Boy Energy strives to be on the cutting edge of green technology, offering wind power soultions, bio-diesel plants and soon, affordable solar power.

We are members of the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Farm Bureau.  The President of Farm Boy Energy has been a licensed general contactor since 1979.  Our Vice President of Operations has been in construciton since childhood.  The two have worked together since 1986 - giving you more than fifty years of experience.
